Founded in 1938, Butler Rural Electric Cooperative Association is a non-profit organization, providing electric power to residential, commercial and industrial accounts. Based in El Dorado, Kan., the organization offers products, such as convectair and water heaters. It offers various kinds of incandescent light bulbs. Butler Rural Electric Cooperative Association has a few subsidiaries as well, namely Propane, WildBlue and Co-op Connections, offering an array of services, including Internet connections, web hosting, calls and more. It also provides electrical contracting in new construction areas and serves areas across Butler, Chase, Cowley, Greenwood, Harvey, Marion and Sedgwick counties. Butler Rural Electric Cooperative Association Inc. is also a member of the Kansas Electric Power Cooperative.
